Multispindle lathe

Multi-spindle lathes are designed for the large series productions. These machines are equipped with 6 or 8 spindles ; so that the machining of one part is divided in 6 or 8 operations ; the travel of each tool is controlled by a cam and every tool moves simultaneously, the production time equals the time of longest operation. The machining of external diameters is done by plunge, using shaping tools ; it allows these machines to get a very high productivity in comparison to an automatic singlespindle lathe. These multi-spindle lathes can also carry out drilling operations, tapping... The combination of possibilities offered by these machines enables the production of complex parts for the automobile industry, connection technology... RDMO is located in the Arve Valley, an important center in Europe for the machining of parts using conventional multi-spindle lathes or CNC multi-spindle lathes. The know-how of RDMO's workshops enables them to conduct a complete revision on used multi-spindle lathes.
