Used machine tools Horizontal machining center
System commonly used in the metal manufactoring industry, the horizontal machining center is a machine tool that is distinguished by its speed in processing workpieces, its ability to offer repetitive high performance, the reduced number of operators it mobilizes and the accuracy of its machining operations. All these qualities are due to both the design of the machine and digital or computer control that equip it in most cases. The horizontal machining center allows especially performing several types of roughing and finishing works (drilling, turning, boring, milling ...) on workpieces with large dimensions. It is particularly used to manufacture large workpieces for industrial plumbing, oil sector and the disciplines relevant to the heavy industry in general: pump body, sections ends, tubes... The main components of a horizontal machining center is the horizontal bed, the machining heads (including milling, boring, turning, drilling, tools) and the computer control. They have tool holder movable in at least three dimensions, because they are fixed to mobile arms or to mobile lifting frames on lateral and longitudinal axes, and their cutting depth can be adjusted according to the needs of the operator. This way, the horizontal machining center facilitates work on all the surfaces of the workpiece. The horizontal machining centers are distinguished by relatively complex structures. It is therefore a type of machine tool representing a very significant investment, and here comes the need to provide it with regular maintenance and, in the case of second-hand models, an exhanstive checking, both at the equipment (mechanical) and software level. Doosan, Matsuura, Mazak, MoriSeiki (DMG Mori), OKK, Comau, Makino, AVM Angelini, Forest-Line, and Riello Macchine are among the major brands known for the quality and reliability of horizontal machining centers.
According to official recommendations, we are setting up teleworking for the majority of our collaborators from Tuesday 17.03.2020 12pm and until further notice.
