Used machine tools Centerless grinder
Unlike the other types of machines of the category, centerless grinding machines do not require an external device for maintaining, attaching or driving the workpiece. The machine rather relies on an architecture including a rigid frame which accommodates a table on which is installed the driving roll grinder as well as the spindle of the machining roll grinder. On most models of centerless grinding machines, the workpiece to be ground is simply positioned on a rail guide way. It is rotated by a regulating wheel (in slow rotation mode) and in contact with the rotary roll grinder (in high speed rotation mode). Generally, the regulating wheel is made of a flexible material such as rubber. Some of these regulatory wheels may also be equipped with hard grains to ensure a better grip with the workpiece, and therefore a more efficient rotation. The use of a centerless grinder has several advantages: the possibility of machining fragile workpieces because they are propped up horizontally, the suppression flaws induced by the fixation, the reduction of workpieces loading/unloading time, and the possibility to work with considerably high rotational speeds of the roll grinders. There are two types of centerless grinding machines: manual centerless grinding machines, for which the intervention of the operator is needed after a certain number of cycles, and automatic centerless grinding machines which stop after a preset number of cycles. Thanks to its characteristics, the centerless grinding machine has a wide range of applications in machining workpieces through grinding. It allows manufacturing workpieces in large series (shafts, axles, valves, bolts, bearings, hubs ...) and getting a very good rendering on specific workpieces such as rotors, bars, cylinders and balls. We can distinguish two machining techniques: the through feed grinding and in-feed grinding. The RDMO workshops capitalize all the know-how necessary for the checking and maintenance of second-hand centerless grinding machines. These tools are mostly available on the second-hand market through brands such as Agathon, Cincinnati, Ghiringhelli, Lidkoping, Microrex, Rossi Monza, Schaublin, Tschudin, Danobat, C & E Fein GmbH, SchaudtMikrosaGmbH, Paragon, Junker, Loeser, AcmeManufacturing or even BoneliCenterlessGrinders.
