Zayer
The company Zayer was founded towards the late 1940s in Vitoria-Gasteiz, in the Spanish Basque Country. From the beginning of the following decade, the company has specialized in the design and manufacturing of machine tools dedicated to milling and machining. At its inception, the company Zayer had only a workshop of 200 m2. This did not hinder it from rapidly commercializing its first models of milling machines with console. The activity of the company has subsequently grown significantly, pushing its managers to inaugurate its new facilities located in Betoño, in 1957. The current Zayer production site spreads nearly over 20,000 m2. It brings together a total of 220 employees and has also been enlarged in 2010. Zayer adopts a continuous improvement approach, focused on a continuously sustained technological development. The brand develops its own machining heads and is also one of the world leaders in this field. In 1994, it created a 360000 positions universal 45° automatic head. Zayer strives to offer multifunctional systems, allowing the realization of a variety of operations (milling, boring, turning ...) on a single and same machine and obtain the highest level of precision possible, as well as a significant reduction in production costs. Owning facilities located in Brazil, Italy, and China and relying on a distribution and representation network spread over forty countries, Zayer is a traditional exporting enterprise, since the selling of its first milling machine in Brazil in 1954. Today, 70% of its production is destined to foreign markets. Its customers primarily operate in the aeronautics, wind, rail, hydroelectric, and aerospace industries, as well as in general mechanics and molding. Its catalog of machine tools includes CNC milling machines and horizontal and vertical machining centers (fixed bed, mobile column, separate table, fixed member or bolster).
