Several models and examples of machine tools bearing the Swiss brand Monnier Zahner are available on the second-hand market. Monnier Zahner second-hand products that go through RDMO workshops such as grinding machines undergo a series of checking tests and examinations to guarantee to future buyers a quality level and optimal operation, the closest to the brand-new. The Swiss company Monnier Zahner was founded in 1964 in the industrial zone of Moos in Safnern, in the canton of Bern, by Eugene Monnier and Robert Zahner. The following year, the young entity built its factory Hauptstrasse 115. Monnier Zahner had in the beginning specialized in the production of watch cases until the early 1970s, and then it has diversified its activities by turning towards the design of machines dedicated to the medical and dental industries. Relying on a policy primarily axed around innovation, flexibility, and training, Monnier Zahner hires each year ten apprentices among the seventy employees who constitute its workforce. The company has always been able to keep up with new technologies in the field of machine tools. Therefore, in 1986, the Swiss company has set up its first fully computer controlled machine to produce rotating milling cutters. Monnier Zahner is particularly known in the medical and dental community for its machines producing implants and prostheses, where it holds a world leading position. Thus, its catalog includes honing and polishing machines for spheres and cups, rotary transfer grinding machines for helicoid drills, grinding machines for profile cutters and milling machines for medical screws. However, this is only one among the various activities of the group, which joined the brand Lambert and Wahli SA in 2006 known for the manufacture of gear cutting machines by generation. Always sensitive to its customers needs, it manufactures specially designed equipment to respond more effectively to them. Concerning the automotive industry, Monnier Zahner produces milling machines for worm screws. Regarding clock industry, the brand offers several models of gear cutting machines for fine teeth and field wheels.
