Miyano was founded in 1929 by Toshimori Miyano. It was in Kameido, Tokyo, that the Japanese company saw light and began activities in the manufacturing of precision industrial files. The company Miyano then began the manufacturing of machine tools. In 1948, the brand developed the first Japanese model of cam automatic lathe: AL-S25. Four years later, the company changed its name to MiyanoIronWork. In 1985, the company changed its name again to become MiyanoMachineryJapan Inc. The new facilities of the Kitakami plant in Iwate Prefecture opened in 1991. The site will be awarded the ISO 9001 certification nine years later. In 2001, the Japanese company created the subsidiary MiyanoMachineryUK, Ltd. from the brand Macro CNC Machine Tools. The headquarters and the office of the company are transferred to Sumiyoshi, in Nagano prefecture since 2005. Five years later, Miyano became itself a subsidiary of Citizen Holdings Co. Ltd. The group Citizen MachineryMiyano Co., Ltd was established in 2010-2011. Today the new entity relies on a total workforce of 1600 employees. Since its founding to the present, through its integration to MachineryMiyano Citizen Group, the Miyano brand has always occupied a particular position on the market of accuracy machine tools. It has built its worldwide reputation thanks to the high quality of its equipment specially designed for turning operations. Its know-how as a manufacturer of various models of CNC lathes, CNC swiss type lathes is highly appreciated by professionals around the world. The Miyano catalog also includes peripheral equipment such as the processing group of chips/oil filtration and lubricant and machining cooling liquid filtration and recycling station. The second-hand Miyano machine tools that go through RDMO workshops undergo extensive checking operations to ensure the highest possible quality level.
