Stama

Founded by Gotthilf Stark in 1938, the company STAMA had initially specialized in the manufacture of various products such as kerosene lamps and band saws. A little later, in the 1950s and 1960s, the German company has made the production of machining revolver heads its main business. The manufacturer based in Uhingen in the Stuttgart region, has even faster illustrated itself by its technological leadership in this field. In 1970 it developed its first CNC revolver system. In 1973, the company transferred part of its activities in the city near Göppingen. Two years later, STAMA introduced its first model of CNC vertical machining center, the MC 315, at the EMO in Paris (Machine Tool World Exposition). Its first double spindle machining center has, meanwhile, seen light in 1980. Starting the production of spindles within the plant itself has marked the following decade. STAMA machine tools are from now on equipped with homemade spindles. In 2008 and 2012 the company STAMA ranked among the 100 most innovative German SMEs. Today, the brand continues to distinguish by the high level of engineering and technology that has forged its reputation for decades. Over 80% of the machine tools designed and delivered by STAMA correspond to turn-key solutions, perfectly adapted to the needs and reality of the field. The STAMA catalog of machine tools includes a wide variety of models: vertical machining center, single or double spindle CNC vertical machining center, 4-axis CNC vertical machining center, high speed 4-axis CNC vertical machining center, 3-axis CNC turning-milling center, CNC high productivity turning-milling center, and double spindle CNC turning-milling center.
