In Diskus Werke, manufacturing grinding machines is a secular tradition. The first machine tool of the kind was issued from the workshops of the German company in 1913, that is, two years after its founding by the engineer Carl Krug. Located at its creation in Frankfurt am Main, the company subsequently took up residence in Langen (1993), before establishing its headquarters in Dietzenbach in 2001 and remained there to date. Specializing in the grinding of dual flat face surfaces, Diskus has accumulated a considerable experience, allowing it today to design machine tools constituting references in terms of accuracy and productivity. The Diskus double-sided grinding machines incorporate the most advanced technologies in the matter. These technologies are mostly developed within the group itself. We can particularly state the IONIC systems for regulating Diskus process, DISRA (display of the grinding zone) and DIMON Monitoring box, launched in 2007. Entered the era of digital control in 1984 with the release of its first CNC double-sided grinding machine, the company Diskus has thus confirmed its commitment towards innovation in this field it fully controls. The company ranks among the major manufacturers of flat surfaces machining devices thanks to its flat grinder especially internally developed. The firm relies also on its own expertise in the development of the measurement technique associated with this type of high technological value machine, as well as the optimization of the grinding process. The Diskus double sided grinding machines are designed taking into account the real needs of its customers; all aspects of the grinding industry are treated with care and precision by a team of professionals totally dedicated to this activity. The concern in detail and quality retrieved primarily in second-hand machines of the brand. These machines undergo extensive checking operation in the workshops of RDMO in order to ensure the highest possible reliability.
