Used machine tools Hobbing
The term hobbing includes all machining techniques allowing the removal of material using a cutting tool to realize specific shapes. Gear cutting can be used to machine parts dedicated to the aeronautical industry, automotive (gearboxes, etc...), aerospace, naval construction, robotics, armement, or nuclear. In fact, all activities requiring the use of serrated parts, cog or gear wheels- serving- for example, to ensure the mechanical power transmission - are concerned by the different forms of cutting machining processes. Workpieces can be subject to a conical, spiro-conical, helical, straight or inside gear cutting. Specific machine tools are designed for these types of extreme precision operations. We can find very good copies on the second-hand market, such as those manufactured by Koepfer, Mikron and Wahli which offer cutters by generation. The gear hobber is a machine allowing the formation of the teeth of a wheel under the effect of a loaded sharp tool which is tangential to. The removal of material, and thus the formation of teeth, is made as the workpiece is rotating. It is made on one surface at each pass (all tangential surfaces to each tooth of the wheel). It can also state Emag, Gearspect, Seiwa, Mitsubishi, Samputensili, Drake, Vanguard, WTO, Monnier & Zahner AG, Felsomat, Affolter Electronics, and TOS for their know-how in the design of machines for gear cutting. Along with the cutter by generation, the category of gear cutting machines also includes the thread cutting machine. This latter allows machining external or internal axial shapes. By the gear shaper is another sub-family of machine tools dedicated to cutting operations, same as the shaving machine. The latter, which is represented by brands such as Pessa, Kapp and Sicmat is used to carry out finefinishing work which consists of removing, by shaving, a small oversize left during cutting operations.
