Many machine tools bearing the name Muratec are now available on the second-hand market. Offering a very high level of reliability and accuracy, these machines go through RDMO workshops where they are carefully checked to benefit the customer from the highest possible quality level. Founded in 1935, the company was then called Nishijin Jacquard Mfg. Its headquarters and production site were located in Fushimi-ku in Kyoto City. At that time, Nishijin Jacquard Mfg. devoted most of its activities to the manufacturing of machines dedicated to the textile industry. Towards the early 1960s, the Japanese company has engaged into the manufacturing of machine tools. It then changed its name into MurataMachinery, Ltd. (MML). A new name change in 1991; from Murata Machinery, Ltd. into Muratec. The new logo adopted by the brand, with its stylized "M" symbolizes all the philosophy of the group ("seeking human technology without limits") and its motto ("to create a better environment through easier man-machine interfaces"). High-tech and the human factor are indeed at the heart of Muratec policy, whether in its textile activities, in communication and, mainly, in its machine tools designed for turning operations. Muratec manufactures CNC lathes extremely valued by professionals from various industrial sectors, including the automotive industry. Its systems are distributed in France since 1994. Several other types of machine tools dedicated to mass-production are manufactured by Muratec: CNC front spindle lathes, CNC double spindle lathes, trees machining lathes, and inverted spindle vertical lathes. In addition, Muratec offers a range of automation solutions and logistics systems for businesses.
