Almost a century, the Mazak company is one of the most known Japanese machine tools manufacturers in the world and especially in Europe where its network of production sites and representations has considerably grown in the spell of four decades. High-tech and precision endowed, its machining centers (multi-tasking machines) are now the jewels of its production line. The YamazakiMazak Corporation was founded in 1919 in Nagoya, Japan. Over the years, the brand has extended its reputation, first, nationwide; playing a major role in the economic development of the country and at the international level; progressively investing foreign markets in Asia and elsewhere in the world. The expansion of the Mazak company in Europe has dramatically speeded up in 1975 with the founding of Yamazaki Mazak Europe NV in Brussels. Starting from this date on large-scale commercialization on the Old Continent commenced. Moreover, it is worth noting that Mazak is represented in Belgium via a major European spare parts center. But the headquarters of Mazak Europe is itself the production unit of Worcester, England. This European headquarters of the Japanese multinational alone has 900 employees and about fifteen technological and technical centers. Its manufacture produces over 150 machines per month and hosts over 2.000 visitors each year. In total, Mazak has over 6.200 employees worldwide, spread out among its various sites. In addition to its four plants located in Japan, the group has four other such facilities in the United States, Singapore, China, and England, as well as 77 technical and technological centers. The Mazak machine tools catalog includes, among others, horizontal machining centers, vertical machining centers, CNC lathes (CNC turning centers) and laser cutting machines. Numerous of copies of these machines are available on the second-hand market.
