Spinner is a German company specialized in the production of high precision machine tools dedicated to turning, grinding, and milling operations. This company was founded in 1949 in Munich. At its creation, Spinner devoted most of its activities to the furnishing of precision parts and components. Since 1950, the Munich Company has launched the development of machine tools, i.e. lathes, for its own production. In total, more than 20,000 examples have been delivered all over the world in more than sixty countries and for clients of all sizes; Spinner equips small workshops as well as large multinational brands. More than 60% of the company's production is exported. The machine tools manufactured by Spinner are known for their high degree of efficiency, accuracy, and reliability. Entering straight into the era of digital control since the early 1970s, the German brand sells over 1,000 CNC machines every year. Despite being a medium sized company, Spinner combines the know-how of a major actor in the industry with the flexibility and the profitability of a family structure. The staff of the group is nearly 550 employees. They are divided among three sites: the headquarters located in Sauerlach near Munich and employs about 250 people, the automation plant in Markgröningen near Stuttgart (sixty employees), and plant located in Tuzla, a district of Istanbul in Turkey, with about 230 employees. The Spinner label is appended to a wide range of machine tools, ranging from small compact CNC lathe to the 15-axis double spindle turning cell with an automated loading system, through the economic machining center. Among the various types of equipment produced by Spinner is the vertical machining center, the CNC lathe, the high precision lathe for micro-finishing and hard turning, the CNC universal lathe, the double turret turning center, the bar feeder, the milling machine, the horizontal machining center and universal grinding machine. Some of these machines are available on the second-hand market. Checked by experts, they can provide a quality level close to the brand-new.
